Grants One of the principal objectives of Tanzania Culture Trust Fund is to provide grants to cultural projects and activities in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. Mfuko provides three types of grants for cultural activities: Institutional grants. These are aimed at building institutional capacity for competence and networking on cultural activities. They are intended for institutions engaged in cultural training and networking. Projects in this category should be able to apply knowledge and ideas in strategic areas and focus on strategic target groups. Production incentive grants. Grants in this category are intended to be used to stimulate production among groups, organisations and companies whose projects fall within the framework of the culture sector and its associated activities. They must be used to generate further productions, introduce new quality products and foster cultural tourism. Moreover, they should increase public access to cultural debates and promote awareness of our cultural identity. Cultural exchange grants. The main objective of this category is promoting and supporting regional and international cultural cooperation that is geared towards the integration and expansion of the national cultural wealth. Limitations None of TCTF grants can be used for overhead costs, salaries of permanent staff, purchase of land, construction of houses or buildings.
